Cavagnino & Gatti designs and manufactures technologies to facilitate labelling.

We call them recipes, i.e. highly automated systems that aim to reduce changeover times to a minimum: faster and more immediate steps for format changes, automatic settings, adaptive and universal machines, for any material and format.

From low speed wet glue labelling machines to the most high-performance self-adhesive machines, our philosophy does not change: we design tailor-made solutions and build in an artisan way.


Cavagnino & Gatti has simplified optical orientation thanks to a tracking system capable of working on high-performance rotary machines.

Since 1985, when the bottle platform movement was still mechanical, our machines have been equipped with optical systems, which have been constantly updated. The tracking technology allows reducing sensors respect to other solutions: from a sensor for each head we switched to 1, 2 or 3 oscillating elements that track the bottles during the orientation, to then return to the original position and start the process again. A more efficient and cost-effective system, capable of handling more than 15,000 pieces per hour. In case of format change, the optical centring can be reprogrammed, changing the position and type of sensors.
  • Bottles or containers pre-set for orientation with identification marks.

  • Bottles or containers with glass logo/cartouche to be oriented.

MP is the programmable bottle platform rotation system designed entirely by Cavagnino & Gatti and it is the standard technology applicable to all our solutions.

Thanks to the MP system, each bottle platform is equipped with an electronically programmable motor, from a touch screen. In this manner, the path of the bottle can be split based on operational areas, each independent and customisable according to the type of application required, even for different container formats and special labels.

The rotation is programmable, so as to cover any area of the surface to be labelled.

The MP system makes the labelling machines more versatile for infinite composition possibilities.


All Cavagnino & Gatti labelling machines are designed to make format change as simple and practical as possible.

We have reduced the number of gluing segments by using a single component and by automating most of the technologies (bottle platforms, carousel height, positioning axes).

The Cavagnino & Gatti innovation to work with any cylindrical format.

Thanks to a variable diameter socket, the inlet and outlet star wheel mould can be adjusted according to the size of the product to be labelled.


All the software driving Cavagnino & Gatti machines are developed by our programmers, designed to work in perfect harmony with the mechanical components. Proprietary software means reliable programming, meticulous tests before release, updates and constant improvements thanks to the contribution of more than 5,000 customers and 10,000 machines in operation worldwide.


Adjustment of the automatic carousel height
Premium technology that adjusts the level of the upper carousel unit according to the height of the container to be labelled. It is digitally programmable by PLC. It can be pre-set and recorded.  

Automatic adjustment of the self-adhesive labelling unit axes
It's our premium automation system for controlling label placement. It allows the operator to digitally record the axes of the adhesive labelling units and, in one click, select the adjustment from the PLC. Automatic servomotors bring the axes into position.
